What are the benefits of hemp oil?

Hemp oil is perfect for most skin types as it can moisturize without clogging your pores. It can even help to balance out oily skin, hydrating it and regulating the skin’s oil production.

In addition to moisturizing and soothing the skin, hemp oil has anti-aging properties. Hemp oil can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles as well as prevent signs of aging from developing. Hemp oil contains several compounds with oil-reducing, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties that may help improve acne.

What are the benefits of donkey milk?

Donkey milk has a long history of medicinal and cosmetic uses. It has historically been used as a treatment for arthritis, coughs, and wounds. Cleopatra is said to have maintained her soft, smooth skin with donkey milk baths.

The proteins in donkey milk have the ability to attract and hold water, which makes it an excellent moisturizer. Donkey milk is rich in vitamins and minerals: potassium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, sodium, calcium, magnesium, iodine, retinol, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, D, C, E. Very moisturizing for the skin, it nourishes the skin in depth. It will soothe even the driest, most sensitive & reactive skin.

Donkey milk is a natural tensor, it blurs wrinkles and furrows to leave your skin smooth and dynamic. It nourishes and participates in the regeneration of the skin.

Are your products vegan?

The large majority of our products are made with only vegan ingredients. All of our handmade lotions, body butters, and sugar scrubs, whipped soaps, bath bombs, and candles are vegan. The only products we make that aren't vegan are our donkey milk soaps, tallow soaps, and lip balms (made with beeswax).

What is tallow and what are the benefits?

Tallow is made by rendering suet which is the fat of cattle or sheep, typically the fat that surrounds the animals organs. The process of rendering involves gently heating suet to separate the fat from any remaining muscle or connective tissue. The result is a pure fat that once cooled, is solid at room temperature.

It’s considered one of the original skincare ingredients because, across the globe and throughout history — back to some of the earliest mentions of skincare — tallow has been used to nourish, restore and protect skin from even some of the harshest conditions.

Tallow is extremely nourishing and high in vitamins like A, D, E, and K. Vitamin E is especially important for aging skin because it has potent antioxidant properties that protect the skin from damaging UV light and reduce the damage that’s already caused.
